Genesis Accounting is a boutique firm of Chartered Accountants led by Director and Local Government Expert, Pat McCarthy. We provide a wide range of tax consulting and tax software for councils across Australia. Specialist tax services in the areas of GST, FBT and Payroll Tax have been provided to over 400 councils since 1999. These services include training, ATO ruling applications, advice on transactions and structuring, public speaking engagements, salary packaging and tax minimisation strategies.

Tax Training
We conduct training sessions either in person or online on a range of GST, FBT and Payroll Tax topics. Duration is anything from 1 hour to all day and comprehensive course material is provided.
Tax Consulting
GST advice is most commonly sought on financial transactions involving council. ATO rulings provide certainty for councils on tax impacts. FBT and payroll tax are taxes councils want to minimise.
GST Add In
The GST AddIn forms part of the LG Solutions fees & charges cloud based application. The AddIn provides tax certainty based on ATO rulings obtained for councils on the tax status of their fees and charges.
